Nature Trails Society is a not-for-profit volunteer-based organization that works on projects to help coordinate and connect trails that can be enjoyed by the public and used by wildlife. We build, maintain, and advocate for recreational nature trails on Southern Vancouver Island, particularly in Greater Victoria.

Victoria has an abundance of natural surface trails that are not yet coordinated to be connected and we see a huge opportunity to help close the gaps. We’re an organization that seeks to help connect existing trails and green spaces by collaborating with various stakeholders on projects. Our vision is to work on projects that can be eventually connected to create a comprehensive world-class network of trails that span across the Greater Victoria Region. Think of a network that could ultimately become as famous as the West Coast Trail, the Grouse Grind, or the Kettle Valley Railway.
